Runs
Single static native binary
Concurrency
Goroutines and channels

Performance

How Go runs, and what that means in practice.

Execution model

Compiled ahead of time to a single static binary; compilation itself is very fast.

Memory

Concurrent, non-generational, low-pause GC tuned for latency; GOGC and GOMEMLIMIT tune it.

Concurrency

Goroutines start with small stacks and are multiplexed onto OS threads by the runtime scheduler (M:N).

In practice

Typically slower than C++ or Rust for raw CPU work but with far simpler concurrency; very fast start-up suits containers and CLIs.
